Use of salt

A salt is an ionic compound formed by the reaction of an acid and a base.

 

Less salt in a curry makes it seem inedible, while the presence of enough salt makes any dish very tasty. Apart from cooking in our daily life, this salt has many uses including food preservation, beauty treatments. It is difficult to survive without salt. Still, many of us have many misconceptions about salt. Let's know some facts about salt and its requirements-

 

Use-

1. For sparkling teeth: Brushing with a mixture of baking soda, salt, mint oil and a small amount of glycerin will make your teeth shine.

 

2. Skin care: Make a mixture of honey and salt and rub it lightly on the skin and wash it with warm water after some time. It cures acne and skin problems.

 

3. Removing the smell of shoes: The smell of shoes is always a pain. Sprinkle a small amount of salt inside the shoes to remove this bad smell. It removes bad smell.

 

4. In fruit storage: If the cut fruit is left for a long time, it gets spoiled and gets stained. In this case, after cutting the fruit, lightly sprinkle salt on the fruit pieces or slices. The results will be good.

 

5. To remove mosquito bite marks: Make a mixture of a small amount of salt and water and apply it on the bite marks. The stain will go away.

 

6. For foot care: Soak your feet in a mixture of lukewarm water and salt. It works great in cleaning feet.

 

Salt also has many other uses in our daily life. Salt is an essential ingredient.

 

Some informations about salt-

We know that excess of nothing is good. But anything must have a minimum requirement. Even if it is not fulfilled, it is a problem. Everything has its good side as well as some bad side. We should know and use the proper use of anything.

Since table salt is made up of sodium and chlorine, to maintain blood pressure and heart health, no more than 1500 mg (1.5 g) to 2300 mg (2.3 g) of sodium should be consumed per day depending on age. Therefore, in this case, the intake of food salt or sodium chloride should also be balanced and should not be more than 2 to 4 grams.
