Why are the lips chapped?

Chapped lips are more common in winter than any other time of the year. Apart from that, it goes without saying that the lips are chapped at other times. But why does this happen in winter? Let's find out-

When it is cold, the skin of other parts of the body does not chap, but the lips chap and a bad condition is created. This is because the surface of the lips is very thin compared to the skin on other parts of the body. In winter, the water content of the body decreases, due to which this thin layer of the lips dries up quickly. And this dryness is one of the reasons for chapped lips. Many people try to wet their lips with their tongue, but when that wetness dries up, the chances of chapped lips increase.

Chapped lips in the summer?
Yes, chapped lips can also occur in the summer. The main cause of chapped lips is dryness or dryness of the thin layer of the lips. Even if it happens during extreme hot weather, the lips can also become chapped. This can also happen due to dehydration in the body.

So what can be the solution?

If you follow some steps, you can get rid of this problem. For example,
1. Avoiding dust and excessive sunlight.
2. Drink enough water.
3. Eat nutritious food.
4. Use Vaseline.

You can also apply aloe-vera gel on the lips to prevent chapped lips. Take care of your lips this winter, as well as your body. A healthy body means a healthy you.
