Travelling and Its Use

(286 words, 5 paragraphs, 27 lines)

Introduction: Man does not like to live in a fixed place for a long time. He likes to travel from one place to another. He finds interest in visiting new places, seeing new things.

Travelling in old days: Travelling was difficult in olden times. There were no trains and steamers. There were no good roads. People had to go from one place to another on foot. It was not safe to make a long journey. There were robbers and pirates in every country.

Travelling in modern age: Things have changed in the mean time. Train and Steamers have been introduced to carry passengers and goods from one place to another rapidly. Motor cars and airplanes have been invented. They have made travelling much easier. Now people can travel safely and rapidly. They can travel by steamer, train and motor car. Travelling is possible even by plane.

Benefits of travelling: Many are the benefits of travelling. A man who sets out on a journey may study the manners and customs of different nations. He may visit new places and see new sights. It gives him practical knowledge. He cannot gather it by reading books in schools and colleges. Travelling is also good for health.

Its educative value: Travelling is a part of education. Our knowledge is imperfect unless we can see what we read in our books. A book gives us only a dry account of the things we learn about. A visit to them gives a perfect knowledge of them.

Conclusion: Everybody cannot make a long journey. He cannot afford to spend the money which it requires. He may not have good health. A man should travel whenever he finds an opportunity. It brings him in touch with new faces, languages, manners and customs. It removes the monotony of life.
