The Seasons of Bangladesh

(240 words, 7 paragraphs, 25 lines)

Introduction: Bangladesh is a land of changing beauty. The changes in country take place in every two months. Each of these changes is called a season. So, six seasons visit Bangladesh every year.

The summer: The summer is the first season of the year. It lasts in the months of Baishakh and Jaistha. This is a season of sun and heat. Mangoes, jack-fruits, black-berries and melons are available in this season.

The rainy season: The rainy season is a season of rainfall. It cools the air after the burning heat of summer. Ponds, tanks, canals and rivers are full to the brim. Water often overflows their banks and stands on roads and fields.

The autumn: The autumn is a season of light cloud without rain. The paddy fields then offer a very nice view. In the latter part of autumn the sky looks blue and clear. Harvesting of paddy then fills every mind with great joy. There are festivals in every house in Bangladesh that time.

The winter: The winter comes with its biting cold. Nature looks dull and gloomy. But many kinds of vegetables then grow in plenty.

The spring: Last of all, spring comes with flowers and new leaves. It gives new life everywhere in nature. Trees and plants have growth. Birds sing cheerfully. The sun shines brightly. It offers a lovely scene indeed.

Conclusion: We have six seasons. They came in rotation and refresh body and mind.
